New English Film Agrees With Michael Schacker

A new English Film, ninety minutes long, on colony collapse disorder, claims what has been pointed out in Michael Schacker's Book, A Spring Without Bees. Mr. Schacker was on the forefront and should be commended. See the book on the left hand side of the page. Bayer Drug company is the problem.

Thank you for posting this. Defendants of neurotoxic pesticides would have us believe massive bee die-offs or CCD are caused by varroa mites, virus or fungal disease. These things by themselves can cause death of a colony, but more commonly when the colony has been weakened from pesticide poisoning. For example, weakened or insufficient numbers of nurse bees are unable to pick off the mites before they enter the hive. Admire, an agricultural insecticide using imidacloprid or IMD, clearly states on page 2 (of 21) of the application label, "Highly toxic to honey bees" Uh...it's on the label. Lawn products, however, are not required to list such warnings.
